Built in 1881 for the C.F. Peters' General Store.

The second story served as a hall for the Odd Fellows, Mason, Woodmen, Eastern Star and other lodges.

Look carefully the center building has IOOF letters across the top

By 1911 the building was known as the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows is one of the oldest and largest fraternities in the world. The command of the IOOF is to“visit the sick, relieve the distressed, bury the dead and educate the orphan.”

The building had peep holes in the walls and a bowling alley at one time.

In 1942, the building was cut back from the street and converted to a residence. Unique features of the house are hand cut nails, 12” wood beams instead of 2x4's, and porcelain knobs.
