Mexican-American Cesar Chavez (1927-1993) was a prominent union leader and labor organizer. As a labor leader,Chavez led marches called for boycotts and went on several hunger strikes.When he was young Chavez and his family toiled in the fields as migrant farm workers.
Hardened by his early experience as a migrant worker, Chavez founded the national farm worker association in 1962. His union with the argictual workers organization strike against grape growers in California and U.S farm workers.
Chavez's spouse was Helen Rabel Chavez.
