WEDDED BLISS Weddings by River West

hello there

Thank you very much for your inquiry about my services! This guide is designed to give you a range of information about my wedding & elopement offerings. I currently provide wedding coverage to couples in Atlanta and worldwide who I can work closely with and create something authentic and personal with.

I’ve photographed over a hundred and fifty wedding days. Watched that many cakes cut, first dances danced, and vows exchanged. I don’t get tired of it because I choose to photograph people who are crazy about each other, exhilarated about spending their life together, and over the moon for their wedding day. That never gets old.

It’s important to me to photograph people in a way that is unguarded, natural, emotional, and completely authentic. Each couple is different and therefore it’s important for us to connect, vibe, and work together to create amazing photos that are full of soul, personality, and life.

Unguarded. Natural. Emotional. Authentic.

Congratulations! This day is one you’ve dreamed of for years and it’s finally happening! Deciding who will photograph your wedding is by far one of your most important decisions right now. After all, when the flurry and excitement of the big day is over, beautifully captured images are what’s left for you to revisit the romance, emotion and spirit of an event that passes so quickly.

So, how do you choose the best wedding photographer for you?

KNOW YOUR STYLE: Find a photographer whose body of work you align with artistically. Every photojournalist has a different take and style of storytelling, so make sure you are choosing to hire someone whose work naturally speaks to you. Look through portfolio and social media accounts - you should love what you see and feel a sense of connection to the photographs.

LIKE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER: Don't underestimate the importance of liking and bonding with your photographer. S/he should put you at ease, be approachable and assertive, and be someone you and your fiance get along with and like. Remember: a good photographer shadows their clients’ every move, so the more comfortable a client is with their photographer, the better the photos will turn out.

CHOOSE A SEASONED PROFESSIONAL: With years of experience under my belt, the gear to match, and working knowledge of how to handle weird lighting and pushy family members, you can trust that I am a capable and qualified professional who has it all taken care of.

My Approach

Every artist has their own vision and voice, a way of seeing the world and then translating that viewpoint into their work. The following things are what I emphasize the most highly in my personal efforts.

EMOTION + AUTHENTICITY: Get vulnerable and real in front of the camera and don’t think of this as just “taking pictures.” Laugh so hard snot flies out of your nose; twirl each other around, kiss soft and slow because why not, touch each other tenderly because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed and this is your person. I live for these moments of openness and connection between people and I look for the things that show so much more than a smiling posed photo would. My work emphasizes details, reality, and the story being told by the day.

SOPHISTICATION: Stylistically I love the look of images that have an elegance to them both in composition and editing. Photographs should look like pieces of art. I work hard to curate a collection of images for each wedding that tell the story through candids and portraits alike - letting light influence me and guide the artistic process.

PERSONALITY: No two couples are exactly alike, and neither are their weddings. Every event deserves to be told in a way that brings out the personality of the couple who planned it. Because I thrive on authentic moments, I don’t use standard posing for couples photos. Instead, I encourage my clients to bring a sense of play and exploration to the process so we create something unique and personal. Be yourselves and trust me to know how to capture you.
