Fear. We face it daily. Sometimes our concerns are small whereas other times they seem overwhelming. From fear of what others think of us to panic over certain aspects of our life being exposed, fear can be debilitating. However, fear can be healthy and empowering. At Winter Retreat, we talked about how the fear of God enables believers to overcome the fears that seek to claim our hearts. Ultimately, the solution to fear is fear! Christians are able to endure challenges by viewing them through God’s eyes rather than the world’s perspectives. As leaders, we are continuing to pray for you as students and families that you would find your identity in Christ. Belief and faith in truth empowers Christians to rebuild what is broken in their lives. May the redeeming power of the gospel bring you hope and confidence to struggle well in the opportunities and relationships God has placed before you.
This time of the year is a busy one for many within our group. From sports to robotics to school work, it can be difficult to juggle everything. At times it can be hard to remember what you did yesterday let alone a few weeks ago! Here’s a little “Retreat in Review” video to remind you of our time in Oakhurst!
