St. Valentine Sophie and alyssa

St. valentine was born 176 in Terni, Italy

St. valentine restored Judge Asterius' daughter's eye sight.

Because of this the Jugde changed him and his family to Christianity and freed all the christian inmates.

He was arrested for converting people to Christianity. He was sent to rome under Claudius II.

He was imprisned for marrying Christian couples and adding Christians being persecuted in Rome.

Eventually a relationship grew between the umpirer and St. valentine intill Valentine asked claduis to change to christanity. Cladius sentenced him to death. If he gave up his religion, he would not die.

He refused to give up his faith so he was executed on February 14, 269

We celebrate valentines day because in another version of this story, On the day of his execution he left the blind girl he healed a note and signed it, "your valentine"

Others believe it was created to overpower the pegan holiday Lupercalia.
