The Giving Tree STOP motion

1. Our work is a stop motion on the children's classic The Giving Tree. The film is created using Legos. It is called "The Giving Tree".

2. We used Legos, Movie Maker, card board, and paint. We created the characters, set, and video all on our own. Gabe created the figures based on pictures of the characters from the book. The tee was just a generic tree Gabe created using Lego bricks.

3.We combined technology and a different medium with children's literature. We used The Giving Tree story to teach the concept of sharing in a fun way.

4. We wanted to combine art with technology and children's entertainment. We also wanted to create a visually entertaining children's animation short with a good wholesome family message.

5. It turned out well considering the set was made for clay not Legos. Legos use the concept of tubes and bumps to interlock the pieces. The figures are made to stand on bumps, not a flat surface, so the figure movements relied solely on It balancing. is a good adaptation of the book and really captures the tone and message of the book.
