USU vs SDSU The Aggies fell 66-62 at home

Senior wing Jalen Moore led the Aggies with 20 points, four rebounds and four assists.

"It's a tough loss. We played tough, they went on a little run in the second half and we weren't able to come back from it. They hit a couple tough 3's, that was huge for them." — senior wing Jalen Moore

The Aggies trailed by 13 with 4:06, but caught up 65-62 with 10 seconds left after two clutch free-throws from freshman guard Sam Merrill.

"'They will die on the vine, their endurance and stamina will give in and we've got to keep fighting.' That's what I told them that they were saying in the Utah State locker room. Don't let that play out. Fight like crazy." — freshman guard Sam Merrill

SDSU's Jeremy Hemsley was fouled with eight seconds left, giving him two free throws. Hemsley missed the first attempt, but made the second to put the Aztecs 66-62. USU's freshman guard Koby McEwen missed a 3-pointer and the Aztecs grabbed the rebound as the clock ran out.

The Aggies' last home game of the season will be on Feb. 25 against Air Force at 7 p.m. in the Spectrum.
