Fun Run

Our Fun Run is just one week away! Please help us reach our school goal of $16,000 by contributing a $40 donation per child. The money we raise helps cover the cost of many important school items our children count on. You may not realize that our PTO covers the annual cost of all of these great things:

  • Busses for field trips (an expense over $12,000, including 4th grade busses to Lansing and 5th grade busses to camp)
  • Classroom donations ($4,400 to help teachers provide learning materials for their classrooms)
  • Classroom parties ($1,350 to fund three parties per classroom, per year)
  • Recess equipment ($1,000)
  • Fifth grade promotion ($850)
  • Assemblies and Educational Programs ($2,000)
  • So much more!!!

We couldn’t make all this happen each year without you! Thank you for your donations.

Fall Conference Sign-Up

Our fall conferences are on October 23 and 24. It is an expectation that our teachers meet with every family. These are an important opportunity to connect with each other to discuss your children's growth and make a plan to continue supporting their learning. Please sign up for a conference time using the link below.

Oakland University Partnership

This year we are proud to announce an expansion of the district's partnership with Oakland University. The Reading Department will be hosting several classes here at Leonard. This gives the preservice teachers an opportunity to practice their craft in a real setting, learn from our expert teachers, and receive feedback from their professors in an authentic environment. We are honored to be doing our part in preparing the teachers of the future to ensure that future Leonard Leopards have the best educators!

Doctors Appointments

When you are making appointments for your children, please try to schedule them outside the school day. When children miss instruction, it is impossible to recreate the classroom experience and learning that takes place when they are out. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
