JMU Comes Alive After 5! A guide to evening and weekend campus activities Thursdays - Sundays. January 16 - March 5, 2020

Spring Semester first edition. This information is sent out twice a semester with the goal of keeping you informed of some fun events happening on campus in the evenings and on the weekends; focusing on events that occur Thursdays through Sundays. Please scroll down for events that are occurring prior to spring break. All events have links to the event or sponsor website.

This event happens once a semester for student organizations to recruit members and connect with students on campus!

Want to learn how to deadlift effectively and safely? This class is all about the fundamentals and basics of the exercise.

Intro to Body Weight Exercises

Want to learn how to get an effective workout without equipment? This class will introduce you to some basic body weight exercises you can do at home.

Don’t Fear the Weight Room

There are many common misconceptions about muscle gain, fat loss and the weight room. This class will explain why you shouldn’t be afraid to lift weights, the many benefits of weightlifting and how to get started.

Cycle Day

Celebrate your love for cycling indoors with UREC's Cycle Day on Friday, February 28. We will be offering a variety of cycle classes throughout the afternoon on our RealRyder bikes.

Come to this instructional program to learn how to play wheelchair basketball. Participants will learn how to first navigate the chairs and then will be able to practice and play the game.
