“Many of us come from very far so it was very difficult for us to access drinking water before our borehole was repaired. Sometimes, some of us would run back home during break time to drink water but we would end up coming very late to school. Because we would have to help our parents fetch water early in the morning before coming to school, we would also report late.”

“Many of us performed very poorly because of this and some would choose not to return to school because it was very tiring. We would also not get time to play because we would use our break time to look for water.”

“Since our borehole was repaired, we can now drink clean water and access it whenever we want. We also now come to school very early and have time to play soccer during our tea break and lunchtime. Thank you Neverthirst and East African Ministries!”

Afeku John, Deputy Headmaster

“On behalf of our school, I would like to say that we are very happy about this rehabilitation. We don’t have another borehole in this village so before the rehabilitation, the school had to fund all repairs every time the borehole broke down. As a result, funds meant for important things such as scholastic materials would be used to repair the borehole. Additionally, our children would often miss school because they would have to look for water in far away villages. Many times, they would also come very late to school. As a result, our classes were always disrupted.”

“We really want to appreciate Neverthirst and East African Ministries for their generous support. We never thought that any one would help us. We pray that that the organizations continue this good work, and support other schools that have clean water difficulties.”
