That is an actual picture of the model of drone that I fly. It is a relatively new hobby that i have picked up that I quite enjoy. I was inspired when I saw a show called DRL (Drone Racing League). It involves exactly what you expect, it is a racing league that uses the same model of racing drones in a closed course with 6 contestants per heat. It is extremely intense to watch because the drone reaches speeds of 85 mph during the race. The drones themselves have a front mounted camera that is attacked to a VR headset. The drives look through this headset to fly and control the drone. A fun upside in these types of drones is that they are extremely light and frail. Any collision of any kind will make that drone shatter which creates a very satisfying crash. If you haven't seen it before it is very similar to podracing in Star Wars Episode: I. I practice with my drone everyday in hopes that i may be able to compete in drone racing in college.
