Mastronauta is in Omegna, a small town overlooking the fairy ORTA lake, a land of ancient beauty immersed in the untainted subalpine landscape

Omegna had been known as the household district thanks to the presence of prestigious companies such as Alessi, Bialetti (moka), Lagostina (pressure pot), Piazza and Girmi.

Now there are still few production sites and for a few years a gradual process of urban redevelopment is taking place, also from a tourist point of view.

The history of local industries is now preserved at the Forum di Omegna, which also promotes numerous educational activities inspired by Gianni Rodari, a well-known writer who was born and spent his childhood in Omegna.

The nearby Valle Strona is instead known as the “wood valley” and it is the land where the first Pinocchio wooden toy Pinocchio were born, still produced today.

Once in Omegna then you can easily take a look at the beautiful beachs of Orta lake, swimming, hiking, Orta, Pettenasco, Verbania, lake Maggiore, Isola di San Giulio, Isole Borromee, Mottarone a mountain with a 360° panorama on the Alps and lakes, Monte Rosa, Domodossola or reach Milano in 1 hour by train.
