Remember WORDS AND IMAGES BY LESLIE NOYES & JULIE POWELL
Remember
Original Poem by Leslie Noyes
Drums and bullets, flags and fervour, we sweep up after and send off prayers
A disembodied disbelief; lives discarded randomly, scattered into layers
We weep without constraint for the city of lights, while honouring her resilience
No torrent of terror can quell her ultimately exuberant existence
Songs of mourning and songs or praise intermingle seamlessly,
Joie vient le matin Humanity sings in voices lifted triumphantly.
