Three Witches speak to Macbeth and Banquo, prophesying that Macbeth will become king of Scotland.
They are unsure, until king Duncan's men come to name him thane of Scotland.
He writes to lady Macbeth to inform her of what has happened, she then convinces him to take the king's life and take his throne.
They plan to get the chamberlains drunk and, blame them for the murder of the king. Macbeth then revenges the king and slays them. He then easily took his place as king. Duncan's sons flee in fear for they are next.
Macbeth sends for Banquo and his son Fleane to be killed but, Fleane escapes.
Macbeth returns to the three witches and they warn him of Macduff and sends for Macduffs family to be killed.
Macduff joins forces with Malcolm and his army to seek revenge.
Macbeth learns of his wife's suicide and waits for Macduff's army to arrive.
Macbeth is slain and beheaded by Macduff.
Malcolm is now king of Scotland.
