Trinity Community involvement

It takes a village...

Trinity believes it is the job of the student, family, school and community to educate children.

Above and Beyond

A student's education should expand beyond campus (field trips, etc.) and the community should visit the campus (guest speakers, etc.)

Get Involved

Community involvement will help Trinity students to become effective members of the community who volunteer, obey rules, protect the environment, participate in events, and show pride for their community.

Some great things we do...

• Police escorts for events

• Guest speakers in Middle School

• Fire Prevention posters

• Relay for Life

• Veteran’s Day Parade

• Haiti Trip: visit, monetary gifts

• Art League Annual Art Show (student work featured)

• Victoria Symphony (students attend, performers come to campus)

• Spanish Heritage: bilingual storyteller, Mariachi performances during lunch

• Recycling program

• Fall Festival (open to community)

• Outdoor Education Program (taking learning outside of the classroom)

• Raise funds for Cancer awareness

• Sports (involved with other teams, communities)

• International Food Day (celebrates diversity of school and community)

• Bring fire truck to campus

A little something extra...

Guest Speakers for lower school
Make baked goods for servicemen and women
Parent Career Expo
Bring Your Child to Work or Bring Your Parent to School day
Visit the elderly in nursing homes
Host an alumni luncheon

How do we get there?

Make a Plan

1. Set up a committee including faculty, staff, community member and parent liaisons. Committee will meet as needed monitor budget, personnel and scheduling.

2. Poll faculty and staff to select events, schedule and take action.

3. Communicate plans via Week at a Glance, Faculty Meetings, emails, texts, Patriot Press and other school wide communications.

4. Evaluate progress through surveys/polls that elicit school, family and community feedback.

When do we start?

The time is now... just kidding. Breathe.

Committee invitations will go out in the Spring.

Events will be scheduled for the 2017 - 18 school year.
