Wellbeing Evening with Karim and Michael

Byron Bay High School Wellbeing Evening with Karim and Michael is a follow up event of the successful Wellbeing Panel Information Evening held in 2020.

Karim Kaufman is the Youth and Family Worker with the Byron Youth Service.

Michael Marriot is the Specialist Youth Drug and Alcohol Counsellor with Byron Bay Central Hospital.

They support students of Byron Bay High School and wider community.

This evening is a chance to hear from two specialists who work with our young people who are at an age of defining their identity against ever present global trends.

There will be a chance to ask Karim and Michael questions of your own.

Come along to be part of a conversation about the trends of the young people of our community.

This is a Covidsafe event.

Far North Coast Swim Team

Congratulations to all swimmers who competed at the Far North Coast Championships on Tuesday. What a great bunch of kids to take away, all supportive of each other and doing their school proud in the way they competed and behaved on the day. Special mention to our Year 7’s who joined the team this year, some nerves, but all stepped up to do their best. Well done!

Year 7 2021 Parent Welcome BBQ

2 March 2021 - 5.30 to 6.30 pm

A chance for our new Year 7 parents to meet with staff of Byron Bay High School. This is not a parent / teacher information session but a chance to get to meet and get to know the staff of Byron Bay High School.

All attendees, including students, staff and visitors, parents and carers, must be well and free of any flu-like symptoms. All visitors must sign the External Visitors Form and scan the QR code.

COVID-19 Restrictions for parents still apply at school

In accordance with NSW Health, Parents and carers ARE NOT ALLOWED ON SCHOOL SITES or at off-site school events held during school hours except for the following purposes only:

  • Essential parent and carer meetings with teachers and/or school executives, with a scheduled appointment. This includes scheduled meetings with parents and carers of prospective students. If you are coming for a prearranged appointment please bring your mobile phone so you can scan our QR Code.
  • Parents and carers who have been contacted by the school for the purpose of picking up their child if they are unwell. Parents and Carers will be asked to arrange a COVID-19 test for their child if they have displayed flu-like symptoms while at school. (If you are responding to our school absence SMS that your child is absent due to illness, please be specific about what symptoms or type of illness they have.)
  • Parents and carers who need to be on site to Volunteer in the School Canteen.

Thank you for your understanding. It is important that we abide by NSW Health guidelines.

Information about payments

We are in the process of changing the way payments are made for your child at Byron Bay High School to make it easier for you.

We will be using School Bytes going forward for both payments as well as general correspondence.
