Long-Term Facility Plan

Oconto Falls Public Schools collaborated with Nexus Solutions to complete our facilities audit and help prioritize facility needs over the next twenty years. The next step in this collaboration is determining what our families -- and the communities we serve -- will support in order to address the facilities needs throughout our school district. Community Engagement Sessions & Surveys

Multiple community engagements sessions were held in July, 2021 in order to get input on our facility needs. Use the button below to access a summary of the feedback we received.

For additional community input, a phone survey was recently completed. Once the results have been tabulated, they can be accessed here (check back in a few weeks).

Projected Timeline

If our District decides to move forward with a capital/bond referendum, the decision needs to be made no later than January 2022. A passed referendum would enable Oconto Falls School District to continue advancing its facility plan at the same time previous debt is retiring. This means we would anticipate a minimal tax impact. More specific information regarding anticipated mill rate changes will be outlined soon.

This timeline describes the actions our District has taken so far, and potential actions between now and April 2022.

What's Next?

A Special Board Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 24, 2021 to review the results of our Community Phone Survey and discuss next steps.
