Helen Keller

My person is Helen Keller. She was born in Connecticut on June 27, 1880. She was born a normal child. When she was only about 9 months old, she got a disease that causes your brain to swell up larger and larger, pushing against the skull. When the disease finally passed, she was blind and deaf.

Helen Keller overcame the fact that she was blind and deaf. Annie Sullivan accelerated her toward history by helping her with her blindness.
