Vanilla Orange Monkey Bread Recipe

( Ingredients)--Two. oranges to zest , use one of the oranges to squeeze juice from , 1 table spoon pure vanilla , 1 cup of granulated sugar , 3/4 cups of brown sugar , Two sticks of butter , Two cans of large buttermilk biscuits non flaky , confection sugar to garnish tops , 1 tablespoon of Kosher Salt , (Supplies)- Measuring Spoons , one large ziplock bag , measuring cups , cutting board or mats , bunt cake pan or small mini cake bunt pan ,, sauce pan , zester , juicer optional.
Preheat your oven to 350 , Get your Ziplock Bag add 1 cup of sugar ,and 1 tablespoon of Kosher Salt
Zest your two oranges , then add the zest to the ziplock bag with sugar and salt , shake the mixture till well blended
Cut your biscuits in squares this varies how you want them , I cut each biscuit into four parts . After biscuits are cut add them to the ziplock bag with zest , sugar ,and salt ,shake well coating each piece with that sugary zest goodness . Place in your bunt cake pan by pressing in and set aside .
In your sauce pan add two sticks of butter turn to medium heat and stir when butter is melted add in your brown sugar , your vanilla I added a little more vanilla, and that one orange you squeezed for juice , take off stove pour over your biscuit mix in your bunt pan and let it all settle in , you can press with a spatula to help coat the underlayers
Once all settled in place in the oven for 25 mins or until golden . Take out of oven let sit on cooling rack to cool a little .
Remove when cool from pan, add to decorative plate or server ,sprinkle confection sugar on top to garnish. Real simple and real yummy .Makes one bunt pan or makes six large bunt mini pans depending on what you use .
