Mrs. Norwood Teacher Spotlight

Mrs. Norwood is the P.E. teacher in the elementary school. She teaches pre-K through fourth grade. When asked why she chose teaching as her career she said,

"I love being active and working with children. I got lucky and got to combine the two!"

Mrs. Norwood is a graduate of Texas A&M University. She and her husband Danny have been married for almost 20 years. They have 2 children, Natalie is an 8th grader (13) and Addison is a 5th grader (10).

Some things Mrs. Norwood likes to do outside the gym is watch her daughters play sports, work out, watch her favorite TV shows and play with their animals.

Mrs. Norwood's favorite part of the school year is Field Day! They get to spend an entire day with two grades competing and having fun. They also get to see the teachers interact with their students and just have a good time together.

When she was asked what the number one thing she wanted her students to learn when they leave her class she said,

"That exercise is good for you and can be fun. I want them to be active over their entire lifetime."

Thank Mrs. Norwood for that you do for MVISD!
