Amazing Clouds By tony g

Hole Punch Cloud

Water temps in Clouds below but the water is not frozen. Unstable

Pileus Cloud

Strong updraft a ting upon moist air at low altitudes. Unstable

Polar Stratosphere Clouds

Clouds in the winter polar stratosphere, reflecting ice crystals in the polar caps. Unstable. 15000-25000m above ground

Shelf Clouds

Connected to the base Clouds, usually connected to strong thunder storms. Stable.

Actinoform Clouds

Collection of low marine Clouds. Stable

Roll Clouds

Mesoscale circulation with sea breezes to rol the cloud formations. Stable

Mammatus Clouds

A cellular pattern of pouches hanging underneath the base of a cloud. Unstable

Cloud Iridescence

Abused by a diffraction caused by small water droplets individuallly scattering light. Stable

Undulalus Aperatus

Related to Undulavus Clouds by tending to dissipate with storm forming. Stable

Pyrocumulus Cloud

Intense heat induces convection, which causes air mass to rise to a point of stability, usually with moisture. Stable

Morning Glory Clouds

Formed by wind squalls, with intense low-level wind shear, with a rapid increase in the vertical displacement of air parcels. Stable, located 100-200 meters above ground.

Noctilucent Clouds

Formed by water ice crystals with a bright, pervasive polar cloud layer in the upper atmosphere. Unstable.

Wave Clouds

Created by atmospheric internal waves, created by a single air flow. Stable.

Lenticular Clouds

Formed at high altitudes, normally aligned perpendicular to the particular wind direction, stable.

Wave Windows

Vertical displacement in the formation with sufficient moisture in the atmosphere. Stable.
