Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate Michigan Pain Consultants

Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) is an advanced form of regenerative medicine that utilizes adult stem cells found natural throughout to body to heal and repair itself.

These cells have the unique ability to renew or replicate themselves infinitely and can differentiate themselves to match the characteristics of any major specialized cell types of any tissue or organ in the body.

The highest concentration of these adult stem cells can be found within the bone marrow of the iliac crest, a.k.a the hip.

How Does BMAC Work?

A physician under guided X-RAY will extract bone marrow from the post iliac crest region of the body.

Once the bone marrow is extracted, it is then spun in a specialized centrifuge to separate the stem cells from the other blood components.

The result is a highly concentrated serum of platelets and stem cells that are then injected into the affected area of the body initiating a regenerative response from the body.

Bone marrow aspirate concentrate stem cell therapy has shown to be effective in the treatment of a variety of pain conditions, including: joint degeneration, sacroilitis, knee, hip and shoulder injury, osteoarthritis, cartilage injury, tendon injury, ligament injury, facet joint injury and disc injury.
