CTF 150: Holiday spirit enjoying the season, rooting for Canada's World Junior Hockey Team

With temperatures averaging in the mid-20s here in Manama, Bahrain, Canada’s Operation ARTEMIS team may not be having a white Christmas this year - but they are taking time from their busy schedule, leading Combined Task Force 150, to get into the holiday (and hockey) spirit.

Turkey dinner, Secret Santa gifts, more treats than anyone could…or should eat and, of course hockey...World Junior Hockey to be more precise. This Christmas season, the Canadians brought some “old school” style hockey to the “alleyways” of Bahrain introducing some of our American, Australian and Pakistani colleagues to Canada’s Game.

Thanking families and supporters of the mission Commodore Haydn C. Edmundson Royal Canadian Navy, Commander Combined Task Force 150, part of Canada's Operation ARTEMIS commented,

"For our family and friends back home, I would personally like to thank you for your continued support to your loved ones on the Op ARTEMIS team, we love you and miss you. I would also like to give a shout out to all Canadian armed Forces members at home and abroad.

Adding a special message for the upcoming World Hockey Junior Championships Commodore Edmundson added,

For Canada’s World Junior Hockey Team from your Team Canada here in Bahrain, Giddy-Up…Get R Done!"
