Sydney became Syracuse softball's first and only espnW National Player of the Week honoree after hitting four home runs in one game at NC State. She's 1-of-5 NCAA softball players in history to accomplish the feat.
O'Hara held numerous top-10 national categorical rankings throughout the season, including her trio of leads in saves, on-base percentage and batting average.

β€œAn on-base machine with power, Sydney O'Hara is one of the nation's more underrated hitters. Almost unprecedented as a dedicated relief ace with a dominant strikeout total, she is one of the nation's more underrated pitchers, too. Add it all up, and she's simply one of the most valuable players in college softball this season.”
