Our first stop was Hong Kong where we stayed at the beautiful Ritz Carlton in Kowloon. The location of the hotel is fantastic, right on the airport express and the MTR. The hotel is located in the tallest building of the city and it starts from the 113th floor.
Our second stop of our Journey was Macau. Just a quick one hour ferry boat ride from central Hong Kong.
Macau is a Great little "City State". Famous for the gambling, the city has still some very interesting Portuguese colonial architecture and influence. Some of the typical Macanese food is a mix of portuguese and asian food. We stayed at the Venetian on the Taipa Island where most of the modern casinos are located.
After boarding the Sapphire Princess and spending the first day at sea we reached our first port of call Ha Long Bay. The bay it is famous for the thousands lime stones rock formations that fill the entire bay. In the bay we were able to see hundreds of little fishing boats and junk boats.
Some of the lime stone formation in Ha Long Bay host fantastic caves. We were able to visit one of this cave during our excursion.
Da Nang is a moder and vibrant city in central Vietnam. The city is becoming famous in South East Asia as a beach destination. Few kilometres outside the city we stopped at the Marble Mountains. These marble hills are famous for the numerous statues carving stores.
