Trisomy 21 is a genetic chromosome disorder that causes intellectual and development delays. Typically Trismony 21 physically effects the face, but inside it effects the genes. Common syptoms are delayed development, learning disability, short stature, or speech delay in a child, lazy eye or spots

Down syndrome is a genetic disorder caused when abnormal cell division results in extra genetic material from chromosome 21. Lab test are often required. 200,000 cases a year in the U.S alone.

Genetic disorder that cannot be cured, however medication can help. Trisomy 21 is typically a lifelong disease, but some cases have only been for several years.
