Conversations with Worth An Intimate Dinner with Jon Kraft

Wednesday, March 29, 2017

The Worth Group hosted 22 guests for a conversation with tech entrepreneur Jon Kraft at the Peninsula Beverly Hills Hotel.

Kraft with Worth editor in chief Richard Bradley

Jon Kraft has over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur in software and consumer media. He served as cofounder and CEO of Pandora, the largest and fastest growing online radio product in the world, and is currently managing partner at LiftOff, an LA-based startup incubator.

Guests got a look at two Reveros from sponsor Karma Automotive as they entered the hotel.

Kraft discussed the challenges of founding Pandora, from intense competition in the curated music space to skepticism about the business model and ongoing issues with funding.

He also spoke about LiftOff, an attempt to create a tech startup investment firm that doesn't so much rival what's happening in San Francisco as it does establish a model for a more LA-centric tech community.

Finally, Kraft talked about what he sees as opportunities within tech, especially AI and big data.
