There are five groups of vegetables. However potatoes come from the starchy group. Potatoes have vitamin B6, vitamin C, potassium, manganese, phosphorus, niacin, dietary fiber, and pantothenic acid. They also are a good source of phytonutrients.

Potatoes are commonly found in Europe and North America. To grow a potatoes you can plant pieces or a whole potato. Potatoes are usually ready around July and die around August.

There are a few ways you can eat a potato. You can rap it in paper towels, put in on a microwave safe plate, and put in the microwave for around two to three minutes. Then flip it and and microwave for another two to three minutes. You could also peel or leave the skin on the potato then cut it and cook in on the stove.
