what was the Trojan war?

"Trojan war, in Greek mythology, war between the Greeks and the people of Troy. The strife began after the Trojan prince Paris abducted Helen, wife of menelause of Sparta. When menelause demanded her return, the Trojans refused. Menelause then persuaded his brother Agamemnon to lead an army against Troy."

How did the war start and end?

The war began after the abduction (or elopement) of queen of Sparta by the Trojan prince Paris.

It ended when the Greeks killed Troy using a wooden horse

The odyssey relates to the Trojan war because odyssey talks about Odysseus who fought with Troy in the Trojan war and his journey going back home from a defeat

Homer is an Ancient Greek poet who is really known for the stories of hiad and the odyssey.
