RMC vs McMaster Saturday - 2018/11/10

Hamilton, ON - RMC (0-6) faced tough competition against one of the top teams in the country on Saturday, falling 3-0 to the McMaster Marauders (3-1): 25-17, 25-13, 25-13.

1st Set

Taking advantage of six McMaster attacking errors, RMC got their highest point total in the first set. The Marauders defence pulled through, however, limiting the Paladins to two kills in the opening set.

McMaster won 25-17.

2nd Set

Service errors plagued the Marauders throughout the match, averaging almost six per set. On the other hand, the McMaster offence was extremely efficient during the second set at .545 percent with just one attacking error.

Andrew Richards led the Marauders to a 25-13 win, finishing the match with 15 kills and an efficiency of .619.

3rd Set

McMaster countered their service errors with 13 aces, which moves them into first in the OUA for aces per set. The Marauders earned their first home victory of the season after winning the final set 25-13.

David Hamilton had eight assists for RMC in the match, while Dale Towe led the offence with seven kills.

RMC returns to Kingston for games against Nipissing and York next Saturday and Sunday, both at 3:00 PM.
