Well, aren’t you a little ray of pitch black... Our inspiration for taking such pictures was mainly Instagram. We believe that true appreciation of object composition and the right usage of colours are essential to creating a feed that people like. We realised that the skills required to make an impressive feed were the ones put to test during this project so we gave it a shot.
A room without books, is like a body without a soul... Power - These show the power of education and if we consider the lights to be success, we can interpret that reading opens up paths to success.
A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.... Escape - The idea behind this image is to show that a book is filled with ideas and concepts that are constantly trying to jump out at us from the moment we open the book, much like the human brain. We tried to focus on different fairy lights to bring about different effects.
There is no darkness so dense, so menacing, or so difficult that it cannot be overcome by light... Creator - These images show a human hand holding the lights which symbolise the content and story of the book. If we can consider the book to be the person's life, we can see that they are filling their own life and that it is in their own hand.
We'll be burning up like neon lights Restrictions - This shows an object stuck in a cage but right outside the cage, we can see many lights, symbolising success. This shows that if one overcomes their restrictions, they will discover many ways and opportunities to success.
This collection of images are collectively called "Happy Go-Lucky". It shows the personality of a happy go lucky person as the objects are books that aren't related to academics and a dream catcher. The light scattered all over this person's personality shows that every person is capable enough to bring success onto themselves and that everyone has a spark, whether the show it or not.

CONCLUSION : As a group, we have realised that focus is an important part of photography and that changing the focal point can cause the image to have a different meaning altogether. We also figured out that a part of a bigger image may mean a lot just by itself. Overall, we have realised that the object composition, colours, photography techniques and the perspective play an important role in the interpretation of an image. We understand that the same object composition, colours, photography techniques and perspective can be interpreted differently based on an individuals experiences. We also experienced this within the group as we discussed.
