HISTORY

Development Solutions, Inc. (DSI) is a Chicago-based, full-service construction firm providing interior and ground-up commercial construction services. Founded in 1992 by Daniel Mazeiro and Craig Manske, DSI employs 60 individuals and has a staff of 14 project managers, 22 superintendents and 24 support staff. Headquartered in the heart of downtown Chicago, our service area includes Northern Illinois, Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan and Southern Wisconsin. DSI’s founding principals have backgrounds somewhat unique to the construction industry, which allows us to provide more comprehensive services to our customers.

Officers

Daniel Mazeiro, Managing Principal, is an architect by trade, having spent 10 years in Argentina with his own architectural practice. His expertise allows DSI to understand intimately the role of the architect in the design and construction process. Daniel is also a LEED AP Professional and is responsible for overseeing project management and field operations for all projects in which DSI is engaged.
Craig Manske, Managing Principal, spent 10 years at Trammell Crow Company developing office and industrial real estate before co-founding DSI. His experience in site acquisition, development, leasing and management allows DSI to view every project from the client’s perspective. Craig is responsible for the management of Business Operations for DSI as well as Sales and Marketing.

Insurance & Bonding

DSI carries all insurance coverage through Hub International, an A++ rated carrier. Individual policy coverage carries the following limits:

  • Excess Liability $15,000,000
  • General Liability 2 Million/4 Million
  • Automobile $1,000,000
  • Employer Liability

Travelers Insurance Company is DSI’s surety. Current bonding capacity is $20,000,000 for a single project and $30,000,000 overall.
