Welcome Falcons to the 2022-2023 School YEar at Fischer middle school

Welcome to Fischer Middle School!

Please scroll through....read, watch and enjoy!

We are so excited to meet you!

What does it mean to be a Fischer Falcon?

Our school motto is : "AFOOFA"

All for One and One For All!

The core meaning of AFOOFA is the idea that we all have a responsibility to take care of one another. AFOOFA consists of four parts: “The Spirit of Belonging”, “The Spirit of Independence”, “The Spirit of Generosity” and “The Spirit of Mastery”.

We want all students to understand that we are a community and we all have a responsibility to take care of one another. Each quarter, we kick off the theme, and acknowledge students who earn AFOOFA awards.

All Falcons are a part of a team.

All students are placed onto a Core team of teachers, (6th grade: 6-0 or 6-1 7th grade: 7-0, or 7-1 & 8th grade: 8-0, 8-1, or 8-2). With students on teams, it makes a bigger school feel smaller with team spirit & pride.

Teams increase better communication with parents, teachers, and students.

Teams have a balance of students from feeder schools. Balance of students in need of support. Heterogeneously grouped (exceptions with Accelerated Math and Project Arrow Courses)

Core Classes

Students will have their Core Classes at the beginning and end of each day.

Encore Classes

Encore consists of 3 periods during a student's day - the 3 periods are all clustered together. For example, periods 1, 2 and 3. During this time, students are engaging in hands-on learning from Physical Education to coding.

Please see the link below to more information about our Encore classes:
