DAY 1 | February 13, 2017

Welcome to Rio de Janeiro!

Golden beaches, lush mountains, samba-fueled nightlife, and spectacular football matches: Welcome to the Rio de Janeiro, Cidade Maravilhosa (Marvelous City). Rio's beaches have long seduced visitors with volleyball, surfing, drinking, or simply relaxing amid the parade of beautiful people. Copacabana Beach was the symbol of Rio in the 1940s; now, the spotlight is on Ipanema Beach. Wherever you go in Rio, expect to hear Samba, a rapid-fire style of music with African influences and an infectious beat that is synonymous with Rio. There's no place quite like Rio: The city pulses with energy and the urge to live life to the fullest.

Upon arrival into Rio de Janeiro Airport, a VIP Meet & Greet will escort you through immigration and customs and take you to your awaiting luxury vehicle for transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the pool or head to Ipanema Beach for some fun in the sun. At night, get a taste of real Rio as you are treated to samba dancing lessons and a much-deserved night out on the town!

This afternoon, learn the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger, heavier assailant by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground, and then applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent. (There have to be lessons you guys can use in the NFL!) The evening is yours to explore Rio.
