This Week at Larson...

Honor Lists Posted for 1st Quarter

1st quarter lists are now posted for All A's, Honor Roll (3.0 or higher GPA), and Scholar Athlete (3.5 GPA + participation in fall sport) at the link below. Congratulations to our many hard-working Rebels!

STUCO Personal Care Item Drive

Larson STUDENT COUNCIL is organizing a Personal Care Item drive for the Troy People Concerned. Items needed are body soaps, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, toilet paper and Kleenex. The drive will run from December 3-17. Thanks for considering to donate personal care items this holiday season. Donated items should be dropped off in the cafeteria.

Hurricane Michael Book Drive

Mrs. Christiansen's 6th grade classes are collecting books and money to help students affected by Hurricane Michael in Panama City, Florida. Many schools and homes were destroyed, and school districts are hoping to get books back in students' hands as soon as possible. The 6th graders will take donations of new or gently used books during the week of Dec. 3-7. Collection boxes will be in the Larson lobby and Room 801. Students will be selling treats at lunch Dec. 4 and 5 to raise money to ship the books to Florida. Please consider donating!

AdvancED Visitors on Tuesday

As part of our accreditation process, the Troy School District periodically assesses the culture, practices, actions and experiences of our students and staff. This is measured in several different ways—through data and evidence we provide, through a survey given to students and staff, and through a visit from an accreditation team next week. There is nothing you, as a parent, need to do in this effort, but we wanted you to be aware that we will have visitors in our school next week. We appreciate your support and will certainly share what we learn with our community after the review is completed.

Scholastic Book Fair Coming Soon!

The Larson Fall Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon! The Fair will run every day beginning Monday, Dec. 10, through Friday morning, Dec. 14. Larson is adopting a family for the 2018 Holiday season through the Community Housing Network in Troy. They are a family of 6 that were homeless until last year.
