Deuteronomy thru 2 Samuel

  • Deuteronomy 15:4 "But there will be no poor among you; 'for the Lord will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess-.'"
  • None of us that believe in Christ are poor. We are full of the wealth from the Lord.
  • Deuteronomy 8:18 "You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he many confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day."
  • God gives us all of the wealth we need. People that live below the poverty line might see money as something that can only give them what they want.
  • Deuteronomy 31:7 "Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, 'Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land that the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall put them in possession of it.'"
  • "Jesus came to preach the good news to the poor and needy. Though he himself had little Christ made a regular practice of giving to the poor."
