James Coe - Oils at TexArt Developing both Plein Air Landscapes & Studio Wildlife in Oils

Join Master Wildlife Artist Jim Coe as he shares the essentials of painting both Landscapes & Wildlife with oils

USING PLEIN AIR TO IMPROVE YOUR STUDIO PAINTINGS.

James combines his plein air observations & studies with his studio skills to create works of art that exude the look and feel of Nature.

He will train you in his precise plein air techniques that allow you to capture landscape essentials on canvas in barely an hour.

The goal is to use your on-site studies as reference for your studio work. So days 1, 2 and 3 of the workshop will be dedicated to these plein air techniques in the field.

These skills are a combination of learning how to see various features of a landscape better... and then how to capture those features in oils quickly.

... on day 4 we'll bring our studies and observations back into the studio and put them to work under normal studio conditions.

On our last day, each student will use a study created during the week... as the basis for a more comprehensive studio enlargement.

Never again will you wonder how to find an authentic setting for your wildlife subjects!

Come and spend a week painting with James Coe at TexArt.
