What is the Iphone 6s screen made of?

The elements and compounds involved in the manufacture of touch screens were in fact the easiest to track down. These are manufactured mainly from alluminosilicate glass , a mixture of aluminium oxide and silicon dioxide. A thin, transparent, conductive layer of indium Hn oxide is deposited on the glass in order to allow it to function as a touchscreen. The Iphone's screen is much more complex than it may seem. The aluminosilicate glass is bombarded with ions of potassium for strength. Also there are small amounts of rare earth metals that are used to produce colours on the screen.

Few re-usable elements/ materials that are not hazardous

Where do these elements come from in the world

Smartphones , Electric vehicles, skyscrapers, and other modern items are made form metals. Mining makes these things possible. Aluminium: Australia is the world's largest producer and exporter of aluminium, mining 40% of the world's bauxite. Tin: most tin comes from southeast Asia and countries such as China, Indonesia, Peru, Brazil and Bolivia. Indium: China is a leading producer of indium (390 tonnes in 2012), followed by Canada, Japan and South Korea with 70 tonnes each. Silicon: The element silicon is created through a process where carbon and sand are heated to temperatures close to 3,992 degrees Fahrenheit. Silicon is also very abundant in the Earth's crust and is the seventh most plentiful element in the universe.

There is a robot/ machine called lium, that can take apart an old iPhone and separate the parts so they can be recycled. It's a experiment in recycling technology.

Societal Pros & Cons (usa)

Cons: 1.In the USA you have to subscribe to a 2 year plan with AT&T at a price in which they decide and you may not like. 2.To activate the phone on another network outside the USA could possibly cause damage to the phone. 3.Apple uses 2.5g edge network so web browsing can be extremely slow. 4.Apple iPhone does not support flash so you will not be able to use some sites. 5.There is a lack of applications and not all third party applications are supported by the iPhone .The only way you can install the applications is by hacking the phone.

Pros: 1.You can browse the web comfortably.2.Listen to music, it is said that the iPhone is the best for listening to tunes. Plus it will work with the hundreds of iPod speakers and other accessories. 3.Watch videos, or movies. 4.Use it as a phone and the iPhone has built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. 5.Some people believe that the phone is as good as having a laptop sidestepping the problem of lack of applications by unlocking the phone and placing hacked files on there. 6.It is extremely hip and trendy making you the envy of all your friends. This phone has a large, beautiful, and bright screen, which is all the more surprising since it's a touch-screen, which is usually less vivid. The screen measures 3.5 inches across, bigger than just about anything made for the hand. The page orientation changes when the iPhone is tipped on its side, allowing you to see Web sites, videos, maps and photos in landscape mode. Multi-touch is a fantastic feature for zooming in and out and panning. 7.With the coming release of the iPhone 3 g process are bound to drop. 8.The phone comes with all the elements of a smart phone, including an address book, calendar, maps, notes, and, of course, E-mail.

did iphones make the world a better place

Yes, I think iphones has made the world a better place because the phone has made a huge imapact on the world as we know it. In fact, the iPhone is probably the most influential consumer electronics product ever made. before the iPhone, installing phone apps was relatively complicated and problematic. You had to find a good store online, download the app to a desktop computer and follow the unique and often complicated directions for installation to the phone, which happened through the sync process. Also apple’s granting of national carrier monopolies in the first couple of years, as well as strong control and censorship of apps, legitimized the practice of jailbreaking — the opening up of an iOS device to remove limitations imposed by Apple. Also they unified music and phones. Everybody had been talking about integrating music player functionality into phones for years, but it didn’t catch on among the majority of smart phone users until the iPhone. Apple even made an iTunes mobile application for other handset makers like Motorola to pre-install on phones. But most people didn’t bother. After the iPhone, music on phones became standard for most people.
