At my farm, we have the healthiest choices, after all, I am the goddess of agriculture. No pesticides when we grows our crops, no preservatives, and absolutely no fake sugars added. Animals are given no hormones and are raised with the proper care.

When you walk see Demeter's Farm Stand, prepare to see the colors of fresh, healthy fruits and veggies! Five days a week, from 5:30 am to 8:30 pm, 310 workers take care of all the livestock, pick and plant flowers from the greenhouse, and check on the variety of fruits and veggies.

While I am single, I have three kids, Persephone, Plutous, and Arion. So, naturally they all work at her farm stand. Demeter is the president, Persephone is our vice president, Arion is our treasurer, and Plutous, well he's just a farmer, but when Persephone has to go to the underworld with Hades, Plutous takes her place as the vice president. My parents Cronus and Gaea also work at the farm.

As my symbols are a shock of corn, wheat, and a torch, I farm and grow wheat and corn, then I use the torch in the barn for lighting. My sacred plants are wheat, barley, mint, and poppies. My sacred animals include, geckos, a pig, and a serpent, I choose not to raise the gecko and the serpent as they have no use for me, I do raise pigs.

Some examples of fruits we grow are;

Apples, avocados, bananas, coconuts, common figs, cranberries, figs, grapes, lemons, lychees, papayas, passion fruits, pears, pineapples, pomegranates, quinces, strawberries, and watermelons.

Some of those fruits, you may not even recognize. But, like I said, we have a variety of fruits, now let's look at some examples of the vegetables we sell;

Artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, white corn, cucumbers, eggplants, garlic, kale, leeks, onions, potatoes, spinach, red tomatoes, zucchinis

Wow, yeah I know! A lot of fruits and vegetables, grown and sold all at one farm stand. Crazy, right? Well, guess what? There's more, at Demeter's Farm Stand, we also raise and butcher animals. Get every single cut of meat possible! We raise the following animals; Cows (steers and dairy cows), chickens (hens and roosters), goats, pekin ducks, rabbits, pigs, and honeybees.

Cows

We raise both dairy cows and steers. Dairy cows produce the fresh milk you can purchase, and the steers are raised for meat.

Chickens

We have both hens and roosters. Hens are raised to produce eggs and have chicks, while roosters are raised to be butchered.

Goats

We really only have female goats to produce the fresh goat milk, and the male goats are butchered eventually.

Pekin Ducks

Pekin ducks are easy animals to take care of, the females produce eggs while the males are butchered when they get older.

Rabbits

Rabbits are just a small food source and if people request it, we also make custom lucky rabbit feet.

Pigs

Pigs are great animals to raise, you can get any cut of meat from the male pig, and female pigs give birth to piglets.

Honeybees

Honeybees are helpful, they pollinate the growing plants. Plus, the honeybees make organic honey that you can purchase!

Also, at my farm stand, we grow grains such as;

Wheat, rice, organic cereal, maize, rice, soybean, legume, barley, flour, beans, oats, malt, rye, gluten, bread, nuts, and peas.

Myth: A long time ago, my daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped by the god of the underworld, Hades, because he wanted her as his wife and I was devastated. So, I stopped letting crops grow in the time she was gone, which was two seasons long. When Hades let her come back, I let plants grow again, and after that, we made an agreement that Persephone had to be in the underworld during the fall and winter months, but she had to be on the earth during the spring and summer months. So, that's why there are only two seasons of they year that you can grow crops in.

So, when you come to Demeter's Farm Stand, expect to see friendly faces and healthy fresh food decisions.
