Arizona Adventure 2017

April 7 - Arrive in Phoenix and headed to South Mountain Park (the largest municipal park in the US)

Uncertain of the vintage of these buildings.

March 8 - head north to Sedona.

Hot air balloons were visible from the interstate. We tracked down their launching site.
2nd stop was Montezuma's castle. How'd they do that?
Made it to Red Rock country by lunch time.
Home of the rich and famous?
Me and Johnny Mullis - the adventurous duo.
Passing thru Flagstaff on the way to Page.
Flagstaff's claim to fame is that Route 66 passes thru town.

Dinner and an early bedtime once we arrive in Page, Az

March 9 - up at 5 am to beat sunrise at one of Page's landmarks

Clear skies and a great sunrise at Horse Shoe Bend. Notice Johnny's precarious perch.
Here's the reason for the trip. This was a bucket list trip for me!
There is absolutely no way to take a bad photo down here !
When we emerged from the canyon, we just had to grab a few more shots.
Our 3rd treat of the day was visiting Lake Powell.

March 10 - heading back to Phoenix by way of Flagstaff.

San Francisco peak (in Flagstaff) is snow capped many months of the year.
I just had to squeeze in one shot of myself.

March 11 - homeward bound

Great weather, great photos with a great friend; who could ask for more. Wonder what's on tap for our next adventure?
