Copper

The element I chose is Copper. The Atomic mass is 63.546. Copper is a chemical element with symbol Cu. Atomic number 29. It is a soft, malleable, and ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity. A freshly exposed surface of pure copper has a reddish-orange color.

Ore is first mined, then put through a series of processes to refine and purify the copper. The USA is the second largest producer of copper in the world. The largest copper mine is found in Utah. Other major mines are found in Arizona, Michigan, New Mexico and Montana.

Copper is used in our everyday life if you use pennies you use copper. Copper is a Alkali metal. Copper is also a Transition Metal.
