The Great American Cleanup Keeping Our Neighborhoods Beautiful

On Saturday, April 30, 2016 Community Development partnered with local neighborhood associations and Keep Peoria Beautiful to do our part in keeping our city green, clean, and litter free.

From 8:00 AM to noon, neighborhoods across Peoria filled twenty dumpsters with yard waste, old furniture, and litter.

At Dayspring Community Park, members of our team helped the Columbia Terrace North neighborhood association plant flowers.

From the 5th District to the 1st District, our team cleaned alleys and met with neighborhood leaders.

Aside from picking up litter in alleys, members of our department recognized property owners who are going above and beyond with "Good Job" door hangers to say thank you for their commitment to our community.

The Great American Cleanup was successful in bringing the community together to commit to a brighter, cleaner, and greener future for Peoria. Thanks to all who participated!
