“Love to the brain”

By Rihanna

And you got me like oh

What you want from me?

What you want from me?

And I tried to buy your pretty heart, but the price too high

Baby you got me like oh, mm

You love when I fall apart (fall apart)

So you can put me together

And throw me against the wall

Baby you got me like ah, woo, ah

Don't you stop loving me (loving me)

Don't quit loving me (loving me)

Just start loving me (loving me), babe

Oh, and babe I'm fist fighting with fire

Just to get close to you

Can we burn something babe?

And I run for miles just to get a taste

Must be love on the brain

That's got me feeling this way

It beats me black and blue but it fu*** me so good

And I can't get enough

Must be love on the brain, yeah

And it keeps cursing my name (cursing my name)

No matter what I do

I'm no good without you

And I can't get enough

Must be love on the brain

Then you keep loving me

Just love me, yeah

Just love me

All you need to do is love me yeah

Got me like ah-ah-ah-ow

I'm tired of being played like a violin

What do I gotta do to get in your mother******' heart?

Baby like ah, woo, ah

Don't you stop loving me (loving me)

Don't quit loving me (loving me)

Just start loving me (loving me), babe

Oh, and babe I'm fist fighting with fire

Just to get close to you

Can we burn something babe?

And I run for miles just to get a taste

Must be love on the brain

That's got me feeling this way

It beats me black and blue but it fu*** me so good

And I can't get enough

Must be love on the brain

And it keeps cursing my name (cursing my name)

No matter what I do

I'm no good without you

And I can't get enough

Must be love on the brain

In this whole song " Love on the Brain" a metaphor because it is supposed to be saying that she has so much of the person n her mind that she can't stop thinking of the person and she can't get him out her brain. This helps the person listening to understand how much she thinks about him and how much she needs the person.

" Love on the Brain" is also a hyperbole because you can’t have love in the brain the artist seems to be exaggerating a little because your brain can’t have love. This helps the person listening to understand how much she loves him and how much stuff she puts in her brain to she is is always thinking of the person she is talking about.

“Final Song”

By MO

Please, won't you wait? Won't you stay?

At least until the sun goes down

When you're gone, I lose faith

I lose everything I have found

Heart strings, violins

That's what I hear when you're by my side

Yeah, that's what I hear when you're by my side

But when you're gone the music goes

I lose my rhythm, lose my soul*

So hear me out before you say the night is over**

I want you to know that we gotta, gotta carry on

So don't let this be our final song

So don't let this be our final song

So hear me out before you say the night is over

I want you to know that we gotta, gotta carry on

So don't let this be our final song

Baby when we were young

There was nothing to make believe

And the songs that we sang

They were written for you and me

Melodies on repeat

That's what I hear when you're by my side

Yeah, that's what I hear when you're by my side

But when you're gone the music goes

I lose my rhythm, lose my soul

So hear me out before you say the night is over

I want you to know that we gotta, gotta carry on

So don't let this be our final song

So don't let this be our final song

So hear me out before you say the night is over

I want you to know that we gotta, gotta carry on

So don't let this be our final song

Woo, take us to a higher ground

Here and now, whatever you do, just don't look down

Woo, underneath the disco light, it's alright

We could make the perfect sound

We could make the perfect sound

But when you're gone the music goes

I lose my rhythm, lose my soul

So hear me out before you say the night is over

I want you to know that we gotta, gotta carry on

So don't let this be our final song

So don't let this be our final song

So hear me out before you say the night is over

I want you to know that we gotta, gotta carry on

So don't let this be our final song

Woo, take us to a higher ground

Here and now, whatever you do, just don't look down

Woo, underneath the disco light, it's alright

We could make the perfect sound

Woo, take us to a higher ground

Here and now, whatever you do, just don't look down

Woo, underneath the disco light, it's alright

Don't let this be our final song

*“Lose my soul” is a bit too much because you can’t lose your soul when the music stops and it’s a bit too much of exaggeration which makes it a hyperbole. This helps the person listening to understand that the music or the person she is listening to is so good or important that when it's done that her expression changes.

**“Hear me out before you say the night is over” when she says that you can here them to people talking about something before the night is over which is imagery. This helps the person listening to understand what is going on when they are talking about and wants to know what it looks like when they are talking.

“Middle”

By Dj Snake

Staring at two different views on your window ledge

Coffee has gone cold, it's like time froze**

There you go wishing, floating down our wishing well

It's like I'm always causing problems, causing hell

I didn't mean to put you through this, I can tell

We're gonna sweep this under the carpet

I hope that I can turn back the time

To make it all alright, all alright for us

I'll promise to build a new world for us two

With you in the middle

Lying down beside you. What's going through your head?

The silence in the air felt like my soul froze**

Am I just overthinking feelings I conceal

This gut feeling I'm tryna get off me as well

I hope we find our missing pieces and just chill

We're gonna sweep it under the carpet

I hope that I can turn back the time

To make it all alright, all alright for us

I'll promise to build a new world for us two

With you in the middle

“Coffee is going cold it’s like time froze” this quote means that time has passed so long without you in the person's life that time is just not moving on. That forms a simile and it helps the person listening to understand that the person has been gone for so long that coffee is going cold and the person is never coming back so it feels like time froze.

“We are going to sweep this under the carpet” that pretty much means that it is not a problem that we can just put it away or hide it. When saying that all you will really need is to forget about it until someone lifts the carpet back up and it will be out again. This helps the person listening to understand that they put there bad and other stuff aside so the can be together until someone lifts up the carpet and brings what they did up again.

Life

By luis martinez

Why does life have to be so hard

Some people just take things to far.

People just play you like a bad poker card.**

Sometimes I want to feel like a star.*

Why does life have to suck

I just want to have some fun.

But I just don't have the luck

I just want to be done.

Sometimes life isn't always hard

There can be the easy parts to.

You don't have to have up your gard

Easy doesn't always last very long.

Some people can call you names

But they are the ones that are strange.

They always try to play games

So don't let them make you change.

I just want to feel like a star means I want to be treated like one of the popular people and nit treated like I am a nobody. I used a simile to help the reader understand how I feel in life.

I used another simile to help the reader understand that people put me away or switch me with a good popular person because I am not a popular person. To me I am popular in my own way and others should feel like that to.

I wrote it all by myself.
