Shatila Photo-Workshop Deutsche Welle Akademie, April 2017

These photostories are the result of a one-week workshop held in Shatila, one of the Palestinian communities in Beirut, Lebanon. Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian students with experience-levels from "beginner" to "advanced" learned the basics of camera technique, as well as the foundations of photojournalism and visual storytelling.

Their final project was to research, shoot, edit and sequence their own photostory found in the vicinity of our workshop-location in Shatila. The stories give insight into lives at a place hardly known to any outsiders.

We invite you to have a look and share!
