User Experience Design Journal Laurie tenzer

Just discovered what Adobe Spark can do! Will be using it for journaling in my own classes! Journaling is a reflective exercise that ensures learners digest and retain the information.

Class 1 Journal Entry

‚ÄčI found it to be very enlightening to learn about using XD for this assignment. I started out using it for this assignment, but I do not feel comfortable enough yet to use it in a timely manner, so my tool of choice was Illustrator since it is just too familiar. When I say too familiar, I mean that I do not enough time to learn the new tools that I want to learn. Yet that's why I am enrolled here. Quite the dilemma! :) See my assignment for my latest creation that meets the specs for this assignment.

The process of creating personas is so much fun. One gets to talk with a potential audience. The fun part is identifying the potential audience needs and getting creative with the composited characters.

Class 2 Journal Entry

My experience creating the sitemap was really worthwhile. I've done tons of sitemaps in my day, the card sorting method helped me to see information in new ways. It was difficult to get more than one person to test, so I provided only one option. I found XD an excellent tool for this exercise. It has great control for drawing straight lines! I plan to use this method the card-sorting method the next time I teach flowcharts and sitemaps to my own classes.
