December 10th - Three days to go and scrolling down the pictures from my last trips. Lets see what Adobe Spark is useful for...
The tour plan is almost done and after a few days Singapore I'll go to Bangkok meeting Patrick. XMas we'll see - if there are any recommendations - just let me know :o) New Year Eve: Koh Samui and Koh Phangan including beach, sun, party and diving.
Singapore
It's like visiting a good old friend after years. A lot changed but in deep everything is familiar.
With other words:
Same same but different
I walked a lot - iPhone said round about 40km in 3 days, 37 floors and almost 70.000 steps...
Curiosity
You even can find "Nussknacker" from good old Germany. German beer? No problem - Paulaner at Clark Quay. Why not ;-)
And btw. what you think how much a German car will be cost on the island?
Not sure? Here you get some insights. For the people with small screens or bad eyes... 237.888 Singapore Dollars for an GLC 250 !!! In Euro something about 158.000... for 211hp and 222km/h top speed only. Crazy... ahhh and speed limit on the island is 80km/h.
Food
I had Kaya Toast and half boiled eggs, Dim Sum, lots of Mango juice, chicken satai and more yummy food. Ok ok and there was a Steak&Cheese Sub too... 2AM after clubbing at Attica...
My brand new toy - the Nikon Keymission 360
Just to walk around the city and do some test shoots. Enjoy ;)
If 360 isn't working on Spark just use the YouTube app:
Daytime we used for walks in Chinatown and seeing Wat Po and a small part of the Grand Palace. It's almost closed for the western public because the king passed away only a short time ago. The whole country is sad and thousands of Thai people wants to say good bye.
Again and of course there was a lot of yummy food in the streets and over the top at "Above 11" - the better pictures will follow asap ;)
And what you never should miss in a city like Bangkok is shopping. The high contrast between the shiny luxury malls around Silom and the asian traditional markets all over the city are very high.
Have a look to both versions of the city. It's only a short trip with the sky train, a Tuk Tuk or even an water taxi. For geeks MBK 4th floor and if you need a suite have a look to Pinky Tailor at Plonchiet.
Last but not least we took the train from Bangkok to Phuket. So you may know there are several kilometers in between and some water too. 12h "sleeping" train + 4-5 hours bus + Tuk Tuk. Good to bring down and reduce your stress level ;)
