Christmas Tree Day 2016

Holidays are challenging us to be more and more creative. This year has been a great success as we got to be with all our children at some point during the long weekend. An extra bonus was that we were all together to put up the Christmas tree!

Just finished the tree... what a relaxing enjoyable time

Mimi and Pops' first Christmas. Well just barely. As the story goes Mimi was off shopping and Pops was trying to catch up. Mimi found a great ornament to represent our first Christmas as grandparents but as I walked up there was no Pops written on the booties... I refused to pay until they added Pops :)

Jude and Brad learning the system quickly!

Taylor took his turn holding Jude during the hanging of the ornaments and discovered the challenges of long and babies.

Chelsea with the perfect photo bomb.

Sherry was as normal handing out the ornament all while giving a short walk down memory lane for nearly every ornament. We truly had a wonderful time even if we changed up some of the unspoken way of doing things. For instance Chelsea and I wrapped the tree in lights where normally that is something Hannah and I do. However, since Hannah was feeding Jude Chelsea and I kept things moving without a hitch.

Brad, Hannah and Jude finished the tree off and then headed to Winchester to visit his family. We finished the day off with a visit to Opryland Hotel

Going to Opryland hotel is almost a tradition. This year with Kevin visiting with Graeme from Harding made it extra neat as he was amazed at the plants growing inside and no bugs! And just the whole Opryland Hotel conservatory and lights experience.

Though the inside is beautiful I think the outside lights with the nativity is my favorite.
