For three generations CK Thomas has offered distinctly unique and high quality handmade decorative products beginning with handmade Indian laces for the European and Australian markets. Founded to provide artisans a source of income and support in a time, culture and market that is not readily available to them, CK Thomas continues a legacy of revitalizing some of the finest global craftsmanship.
Graduating in 2013 with a BFA in Furniture Design, Jerri Hobdy is a rising talent in residential furniture and lighting. Jerri has developed products for influential brands such as Anthropologie, and Currey and Company, with her unique furniture consistently featured in many publications including Dwell Magazine, Elle Decor, the Huffington Post and Architectural Digest. Jerri is excited to launch her first independent line of lighting & furniture - The INDIRA Collection.
"I am a Furniture and Lighting Designer! I am commonly asked - "what does that mean?!” In short, I envision, draw and collaborate with manufacturers and makers to bring new furniture and lighting ideas to life! For the past three years I was designing furniture and lighting for well known women’s lifestyle brand Anthropologie, and at the beginning of 2018 departed to launch my own collections. The first of which, the INDIRA Collection with CK Thomas, will be shown at ICFF in Manhattan, launched online and in select showrooms over the next few weeks!" - Jerri
The INDIRA Collection is the next evolution of preserving ancient craftsmanship from phases of industrialization. In response to mass manufacturing driving the Thathera brass artisans of Northern India to seek other forms of income, we set out to conceive a collection alongside the specific skills and tools of the Thathera tradition to bring their art form to purveyors of bespoke luxury furniture and lighting.
"...bespoke furniture & lighting revitalizing ancient craftsmanship through contemporary design..." - Jerri
