POLITICS- the President of Russia is head of state, and of a multi-party system with executive power exercised by the government, headed by the Prime Minister, who is appointed by the President with the parliament's approval.
Economics- Russia is considered to be a upper-middle income mixed economy. The currency is known as Russian ruble, the unemployment rate is only at 5.2%
Religion- Russia is a multi-ethnic and faith nation. Orthodox Christianity is Russia's largest religion with 75% of the population belonging to the Orthodox Christian denomination. Islam is 5% of the population. Catholicism, Protestantism, Judaism and Buddhism are only 1% of the population each.
Social Structure-ideology no longer determines social status. During the Soviet era, membership in the CPSU made thought it would better to make decisions rather than market forces determined social status.
Industry- Russia is competitive in oil and gas, mining, processing precious stones and metals, aircraft building, aerospace production, weapons and military machinery manufacture, electric engineering,
Arts/ entertainments- Russia has a lot of things to do just like countries. The cultural activities are endless with art exhibitions, markets, museums and historical homes, the also, have performances such as concerts, theatre and ballet. Sports fans can go to the gym or swimming pool, enjoy outdoor activities, join clubs or teams, or just watch games such as football at sports bars.
