Boys Soccer Player of the Year finalists

Austin D’Anna, Sr., Lecanto

D’Anna singlehandedly dismantled the competition in this year’s district playoffs, accounting for all 11 of his team’s goals. In doing so, he narrowly missed breaking the boys single-season goals record. He finished the year with 49 goals and 15 assists.

Thomas Keefer, Jr., Lecanto

He had never stepped foot on the pitch before this season, being urged by teammates to join the team. His play was a big reason for his team’s district playoffs success, with big saves coming at the biggest moments, earning a trip to the state playoffs.

Mauro Mondragon, Sr., Citrus

Returning from a scary injury last season, Mondragon didn’t show any visible effects. He remained a steady contributor to his team’s offense, and yet again, the team leader in scoring with 22 points coming off 13 goals and 9 assists.
